Fundación Cristosal stands in solidarity and prayer with those affected by the wildfires in California

Cristosal's Executive Director, Richard A. Bower, sent out the following note to Cristosal's Companions:

I received today the following email from the Bishop of San Diego concerning the tragic events of the Southern California fires, especially in San Diego and Los Angeles, and how we can respond. Both dioceses are closely linked to Cristosal and to the Anglican Church of El Salvador. Cristosal has a large network of people in the US and Canada that can respond in prayer and resources.

Obviously, your prayers are most appreciated. Practically, people can do two things from afar. One is that they can send us gifts of money. We have established a San Diego Fires 2007 Relief Fund. Gifts can be sent to the Diocese designated for that fund or you can make a gift to the fund via our website, www.edsd.org. In addition, if folks would prefer, we are collecting gift cards to Target, K-Mart, Walmart, and JC Pennys to be distributed to people who have lost property. These cards can be sent to our diocesan office to the attention of Canon Howard F. Smith. Any communication of these requests would be a blessing.

Faithfully,
+Jim Mathes
